On Monday, 21 June 2010, Inspire-2010 – a week of free personality development classes for students – opened at Little Flower School, Anantapur. Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Gnana Peetam Educational Society – as Sri Gnana Peetam was then known – supported the programme, and society president H.K. Madhusudhana Rao attended the opening. Eenadu covered the first day.

Eenadu – “Mana Jeevitham Mana Chethullone..” (Our Life Is in Our Hands)

Chief guest Kamalakar, a well-known hypnotist and personality development trainer from Hyderabad, told the students that the decisions we make shape our lives, and that positive suggestion is a remarkable power. Practising it, he said, opens the door to wonderful experiences. Quoting Swami Vivekananda – “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” – he urged young people to keep moving towards their goals, adding that imagination is the weapon that wins. He then hypnotised a group of students, making them laugh, cry and dance, in what the paper called a captivating hypnosis show, and later answered their questions.

Institute director Rajasekhar, society president Madhusudhana Rao, Sodanapalli Akula Sriramulu Trust secretary Satish Kumar and coordinator Akula Raghavendra of Oxford Spoken English were among those present, along with students and parents who followed the session with keen interest.
