Sri Gnana Peetam in the News: Special Pujas and Homams on Day 2 of Sharannavaratri

On the second day of Devi Sharannavaratri, Monday, 12 October 2026, temples across Anantapur adorned the Goddess in different forms. The Anantapur edition of Telugodu on Tuesday, 13 October 2026 covered the day's celebrations, including the special pujas and homams at Sri Gnana Peetam.

Telugodu – “Nandi Vahanampai Maheshwari Deviga Sakshatkarinchina Ammavaru” (The Goddess Appears as Maheshwari Devi on the Nandi Vahana)

As part of the Devi Sharannavaratri Mahotsavam, Sri Gnana Peetam performed special pujas and powerful homams seeking the grace of Jaganmata, the Mother of the Universe. The paper also carried a photo of Ammavaru at Sri Gnana Peetam.

Elsewhere in the city, the Goddess gave darshan as Maheshwari on the Nandi vahana at Sri Kasi Visweswara Kodanda Ramalayam, in the Ardhanareeswara form at Sri Kolhapur Mahalakshmi temple in HLC Colony, as Sri Maheshwari Devi at Sivakoti Sri Peetam, as Kamakshi Devi at Sri Sri Siva Balayogi Maharaj Ashram, and as Sri Bala Tripura Sundari at Tapovanam.
